Does My Refrigerator Need To Be Level When It Is On?

All ammonia absorption RV refrigerators must be level when stationary whether they are on gas or electric. You will permanently damage the cooling unit if you run it with your RV out of level. When your RV is stationary and not level the liquids in the cooling unit pool in places they shouldn’t and cause the boiler to overheat and plug or crack. Traveling with the refrigerator on is acceptable, since the liquids in the cooling unit are sloshing and not pooling.
